Bio

I love using my artistic ability to enhance the natural beauty of a woman.

While a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, Josie Miller began her career as a Makeup Artist working at the Laura Mercier counter at Henri Bendel’s, on Fifth Avenue…

Working with Laura Mercier allowed Josie to be surrounded by a team of extraordinarily talented and professional makeup artists where she learned techniques in the use and application of colors, shades, lines and proportion using the human face as a canvas.

Josie found that the consistent, positive feedback and gratitude she received from her clients was providing her immense personal reward, and was directing her more and more in the pursuit of a professional Makeup Artist as a career choice.

After 3 years of study with some of the biggest names in fashion and makeup, Josie graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology. She expanded her career by working in product development for Intercos America. While researching market trends, and evaluating entire product lines in her new job, Josie learned about cosmetic formulas and advanced manufacturing processes – all in preparation to be a professional Makeup Artist.

During the formative years that Josie spent in the corporate cosmetics industry she went from Assistant Manager of Product Development to Marketing Manager. Working as an artist, interacting with her clients, photographers and models, is what inspired Josie to go back to her roots, and pick up her career where she left as a professional Makeup Artist.

My goal is to provide professional counseling and expertise to brides that want to look their very best for one of the most important days in their life. I would love to be a part of making your wedding day as easy and comfortable as well as joyful for you as possible.
